SERGI GARCIA CABRERA - cellist

Barcelona cellist from a musical family who began training at an early age with the Willems method. Graduated with honors from the IEA Oriol Martorell, where he obtained an award for his research work on "Tuning and musical temperaments", and from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, where he obtained honors in the subject of cello with Professor Cristoforo Pestalozzi.

He has extensive experience in orchestras such as the Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya, Franz Schubert Philharmonia, Simfònica de Cobla and Corda de Catalunya, among many others; standing out as head of section.

First prize winner in chamber music competitions such as "Higini Anglès" and "Joves Músics Ciutat de Mataró"

He enjoys an outstanding career with the cello and extensive training by great renowned musicians such as Salvador Brotons, Antoni Ros-Marbà, Josep Pons, Isabel Rubio, Manel Valdivieso, Arnau and Abel Tomàs (Quartet Casals), Kennedy Moretti, Lorenzo Coppola , Gaëtane Duyslaenger, Laura Sanz, Erica Wise, Lluís Claret, Fernando Arias, among others.
